Dave Barmore

PARTNER (PUBLIC AFFAIRS) AND CO-FOUNDER

Dave is a seasoned public affairs expert with over a decade of experience navigating the intersection of innovation and regulation. Dave is not a lawyer and oversees the firm’s work in the public affairs space, working with clients on matters involving government stakeholders, policy strategy, and political considerations.

Dave’s career has been defined by his deep involvement in the legislative process at the local, state, and federal levels. As one of Uber’s first public policy hires, he played a pivotal role in scaling the company’s lobbying efforts across more than 30 states during a period of rapid growth. His leadership directly contributed to the passage of 15 state bills and local ordinances, establishing permanent regulatory frameworks for ride-sharing.

Prior to Uber, Dave worked on Capitol Hill and at one of DC’s leading lobbying firms, where he honed his expertise in bridging the gap between government and private sector innovation. He brings this experience to clients by crafting strategies that align regulatory goals with business objectives, often supported by comprehensive community and grassroots engagement campaigns.

Dave’s collaborative, results-driven approach makes him an invaluable partner for businesses facing political hurdles or seeking to influence the policy landscape for cutting-edge ideas.
