Dominic brings over a decade of legal expertise across banking, private equity, venture capital, and in-house leadership at a prominent New York startup. He began his career in the banking and finance division at Latham & Watkins, advising Wall Street institutions on complex leveraged finance transactions. At Paul, Weiss, he worked with private equity leaders like Apollo, focusing on buy-side capital markets strategies and high-value acquisitions.

Dominic transitioned to Gunderson Dettmer’s emerging companies and venture capital practice, where he advised top VC funds and startups at every stage—from fundraising to exits. Later, as Assistant General Counsel and Director of Investment Funds at Cadre, a real estate scale-up, Dominic launched flagship funds, negotiated with investors like BlackRock and Goldman Sachs, and democratized access to commercial real estate through innovative investment structures.

For the past two years, Dominic has served as a fractional general counsel to U.S. and global startups, offering practical, business-aligned legal solutions. His approach combines solution-oriented advice with a deep understanding of clients’ strategic goals, enabling companies to navigate complex legal challenges effectively and efficiently.

REPRESENTATIVE MATTERS

  • Fractional General Counsel to 8+ U.S. AI and tech startups across industries, including media, logistics, B2B payments, insur-tech, home design, and wealth management, with a focus on Seed to Series B fundraising and key commercial contracts.

  • Advised U.K. and U.S.-based health-tech companies on strategic partnerships and SaaS pricing models.

  • Interim General Counsel to a South African payments infrastructure company, developing cross-border crypto payment rails and global legal structures for partnerships with PayPal.

  • Advised a leading U.K. class action firm on litigation funding strategies and structural initiatives for the Mariana Dam case, the largest class action lawsuit in English history by value.
